Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2

I've been stuck on this piece the last few days. Last week or so in fact. Wrote after recovering from his depression from Concerto No. 1's failure, Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto hits starts heavy, like raindrops falling onto a puddle on a gloomy evening, then it goes on to hit you like a wave that cannot be stopped.

Heavy and dark, ironic and yet laced with such heartbreaking and beautifully tender moments. Somehow i catch myself forgetting to breath, with my heart stuck deep in my throat everytime i listen to it.
